2020 Community Service/ Earth Day Event

On Saturday, April 18, 2020 the SUNY Delhi community didn't let COVID-19 and social distancing stop its annual celebration of Earth Day and volunteerism. With the help of social media, and under the direction of the O'Connor Center for Community Engagement, we held our first #DelhiAtADistance remote service event. Broncos from all over stepped up to the challenge and picked up bags of trash, delivered cookies and meals to neighbors, made face masks, and more.

A special message from O'Connor Center director, Michele DeFreece:

I just want to say thank you to the students, faculty and staff for all your hard work, resilience, and commitment to learning, serving, and teaching. It's at these times that it makes me so proud to be part of such a special college community. I miss the daily connections that have been interrupted by COVID-19 and can't wait to see you all again.
